What is this?
John Dodd is a local well acclaimed artisan in New York’s Finger Lakes Region. John is a 1978 graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology’s Scholl for American Crafts (SAC). He has been an instructor at SAC for more the 40 years, currently teaching in the school’s 3D design foundations courses. In 2019 John was the sixth recipient of the Edline M. Chun Award for outstanding Teaching and Service.
John’s studio is south Bristol, NY where his commissions in benches and foyer treatments follow in his words, “My furniture does not try to define the difference between art and craft it exists quietly between the two.”
