FOOD: For lunch, Bruce Erickson suggests "Bell View East" at the corner of Work and Main Street. Alternatively, there are a number of fast fast food restaurants in the little town along with a Topps food market. The factory is a three-story red, metal clad building just one block off of Main Street. Bruce will be driving a white Honda Odyssey van & we will him at his van at the factory. For everyone's safety, we are suggesting that all participants be fully vaccinated for covid and "boosted". Also, bring hearing and eye protection.

Bruce Erickson former Chairman of Fancher Chair Company will host a tour of their high-end chair manufacturing facility in Falkener, NY. Note, please sign up for this no cost tour on our web site in order to facilitate carpooling. In addition, with strong interest, the number of participants may be capped.
Are you ready for a ROAD TRIP? Did you know that One of the finest chair manufacturing companies still resides in NY State? Would you be interested in a factory tour of a high-end chair manufacturing company? What if you learned that the factory uses everything from traditional wood shaping to state-of-the-art equipment including full five axis mills to make chairs? Interested in seeing production equipment purchased and installed as early as 1936 with ongoing capital improvements in tooling made as recently as 2019. What if such a tour was led by Bruce Erickson, former Chairman. Hard to believe that the factory has been operating consistently since 1807! Understand how chairs are made and observe craftsman machining, upholstering, assembling, and finishing chairs.
