Goal: Understanding tool sharpening and to complete one tool blade that you can shave with.

• Cutting Iron and chisel bevelsPlane bed angles, chisel angles
• Mouth opening and chip formation
• Overview of sharpening materials: ceramic, water stones, diamond plate, oil stones, Tormek
• Detailed process using the Veritas Mark II w/ water stones and micro-bevels
• Cambered cutting edges and when to apply them
• Winding sticks
• New developments in cutting geometry.
